Palma and its old town are about twenty minutes away, and the airport around twenty-five. The area is well connected toward Palma and Andratx, yet set back enough to keep its quiet.

Santa Ponsa covers several distinct areas, and the difference between them matters when you are choosing where to live.
Santa Ponsa
The resort core, around the main beach and the marina — walkable, busy in season, with restaurants, shops and the Club Náutico. Apartments and townhouses sit closer in; villas rise on the slopes above.
Nova Santa Ponsa
The elevated residential quarter to the west, known for its villas — larger plots, sea and golf views, and proximity to Port Adriano. It is the area most associated with the top of the local market.
Costa de la Calma & El Toro
Quieter and greener, and often better value — Costa de la Calma runs along the coast toward El Toro and the marina at Port Adriano, with a residential, year-round feel.

Santa Ponsa's main beach is a wide arc of sand with a gentle shelf; smaller calas sit along the coast in either direction. Offshore lie the Malgrats islands, a protected marine reserve whose clear water draws swimmers, snorkellers and boats through the summer. Behind the town, the Serra de Tramuntana rises — the range that frames the island's western light.

The Bay of Palma beyond hosts the island's summer regattas.
